Watching ESPN
 
Well here I sit with my remote control
No-one around, yes I’m all alone
A Friday night and a bottle of wine
Just me and my Sony spending quality time
 
The wife’s out and the kids are gone
It’s not that often I get time alone
So many channels, don’t know where to begin
Keep finding myself watching ESPN
 
So many channels…
So many choices...
No Honey Do’s, no sweet little voices
The pop-corn’s poppin, the wine is chillin, but I can’t find one darn show to sink my teeth in
 
Now a few hours past, I haven’t watched one show Just sittin here surfing, sipping wine real slow
The pop-corns gone now it’s on to Wheat Thins, and watching Sports Center back on ESPN
 
So many channels…
So many choices...
No Honey Do’s, no sweet little voices
The pop-corn’s gone, but the wine still chillin
As I’m starring at this TV with a silly grin… yeah

Digital, High-Def, or Plasma
It just doesn’t even seem to matter
 
Now a few more hours pass and nothing has changed Just pushing these buttons like a video game
Now everyone’s home and we’re off to bed
As lights go off, grab the remote instead
 
So many channels…
So many choices...

As we kiss good-night and get tucked in
I find myself again watching ESPN

Little Miss Sunshine
 
She wakes up and brushes her hair
Heads down for breakfast and then back upstairs Singing the first song that pops in her head
As she finishes making her bed

Brushes her teeth, then she’s out the door
